Job Description

Bernies Music Land in Ringwood is looking for a capable and experienced Warehouse Manager to undertake receiving, distribution and warehousing operations. You will conduct the efficient receipt, storage, maintenance, preparation and dispatch of a variety of piano and organ instruments.

This person will maintain the day to day organisation of the warehouse, including sorting, cleaning, and maintaining stock location records.

Working closely with the retail team, this person will ensure that quality control targets are achieved, that displays are prepared, and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly.


* Maintains the receiving, warehousing, and outgoing distribution of stock, with accurate paperwork completion and stock control.
* Responsible for the preparation of instruments for display, including unboxing and assembly, moving and connecting, matching accessories, and detailing and cleaning.
* Responsible for maintaining a high level of quality control for outgoing goods by carrying out the unboxing, assembly, detailing and pre-delivery checklist. * Moving and lifting of goods.
* Assists with the booking and coordination of deliveries, including obtaining freight quotes and preparing freight paperwork.
* Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing design layouts; and conducting weekly cleaning and presentation maintenance.
* Manage inventory levels by creating a well organised stock placement and management system, including reconciling with data storage system and auditing team.
* Maintain a high level of health and safety by complying with laws and company procedures.
* Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and stock protocols.

The Successful Candidate Will

* Have at least 5 years warehouse experience
* Have excellent communication skills and works well independently
* Have basic computer skills (word, excel, completing quote forms online, etc.)
* Have a forklift license, or be willing to train for a forklift license
* Have up-to-date Worksafe skills and basic First Aid training
* Have clearance by doctor for lifting
* Have a current Victoria Drivers License
